WORKSHOPS

KHT’s Cultural Competency and Cultural Safety workshops offer a thoughtful and engaging approach to building understanding and respectful relationships with Victorian First Peoples.

The workshops are designed to be both practical and personal, leveraging the lived experiences of trained First Peoples facilitators to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Participatory Learning Model: Our hands-on, interactive approach helps participants engage deeply with the material, moving beyond theoretical knowledge into real-world application.
Personal Lived Experiences of Facilitators: Our facilitators bring authenticity and depth to the training by sharing their own stories and experiences, allowing participants to gain insights from those with firsthand knowledge.
Customizable Learning Goals: The workshops are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals or teams, ensuring that participants can focus on areas of particular relevance to their work or goals.

We are here to assist you in your learning towards a better understanding of the First Peoples of this country. Our approach is to help you build better engagement with First Peoples in both professional and personal contexts.

GUIDED WALKING TOURS

Discover Melbourne’s rich Aboriginal heritage on one of our Aboriginal Guided Walking Tours—an immersive cultural journey.

Join us as we walk from Fed Square to the breathtaking Birrarung Wilam Aboriginal art installations, led by one of our knowledgeable First Peoples guides. Along the way, you’ll learn about the deep history of Birrarung Marr (meaning “Beside the river of mists”) and hear ancient stories from the Aboriginal Peoples of the Kulin Nation. Discover how this land, now home to Narrm (Melbourne), has transformed over time and why Birrarung Wilam holds profound significance to the local Kulin communities.
