Frequently Asked Questions about our Public Programs

Ange Jeffery Workshop, 2023

Can I be notified if there are spots that become available?
Yes, you can join the waiting list on the booking page for the sold-out workshop you are interested in.

Where do I come when I arrive?
An email will be sent out to you before the session advising of the location. Generally our workshops are held on the third floor at the top of the escalators.  If you need to use our lift, please ask at the Wominjeka Desk.

I’m going to be late, is that okay?
Generally we do not like late arrivals. With respect to our First Peoples facilitators who tell their stories, late arrivals are disruptive.

I might need to leave early – is that okay?
If you complete your workshop task early, it is fine to leave early. We just ask that you contribute to tidying up.

I’m not comfortable with having my photo taken.
We absolutely respect this – please let us know on the day itself. We have special badges to let any photographers there on the day to avoid you.

I need to cancel my booking … how do I do this?
If you go back to your original booking email, there will be a link back to TryBooking where you can cancel your tickets. We very much appreciate people cancelling their tickets, as no-shows mean that others have missed out.

Is this workshop really free of charge?
Yes, we have a policy to offer these workshops for free to ensure accessibility. For those that have the capacity, we deeply appreciate your contribution by way of donation. You can donate by way of cash at our moneybox on the first floor; by our tap and go machine in the workshop itself; or by visiting our website.

For Kids Workshops:

Can I leave my kids and come back at the end?
No, we generally like you to stay and supervise your children. Or at least stay in the building.

My kid is not quite in the suggested age bracket?
That’s okay – this is just a guide, but you will need to assist and supervise your child closely if they are younger.

Do I need to book a ticket for a parent or carer who is supervising?
No, for children’s workshops – just book one ticket for attending children.

I have a more specific question …
