As part of NAIDOC Week 2023, we invite our First Peoples community members to join us for a morning of activities hosted by the National Gallery of Victoria and the Koorie Heritage Trust.
Meet us at KHT for a tour with our Curatorial Manager, Gail Harradine, to view our current exhibition “Second Skin: Essence of Country” and a look at some of our key Collection items on our third floor space.
Then walk next door to NGV Australia to explore art and design by leading contemporary First Nations artists, filmmakers and designers featured in Melbourne Now in a tour led by Myles Russell-Cook, Senior Curator, Australian and First Nations Art and Shonae Hobson, Curator, First Nations Art.
The tours will be followed by light refreshments in the Education Studios at NGV Australia.
Meet at 11am in the KHT Foyer (Ground level, Yarra Building, Fed Square, Naarm).
Free, bookings required.
This tour is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members only.
We acknowledge the generous support of our public programming partners: Viva Energy Australia, Krystyna Campbell-Pretty and Family, and The Orloff Family Charitable Trust.
